Protective Pads disclaimer Our 100% cotton protective pads are designed to provide extra protection for guitars, particularly those with nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. These pads create a barrier to prevent interaction between the finish and the underlying rubber brackets. However, if nitrocellulose lacquer has not fully cured, there is a possibility of color blending or fading, which could result in blurring or damage to the guitar's finish.
